DeRozan helps Raptors storm past 76ers

PHILADELPHIA—Every now and then, you’ve got to let a guy do what a guy does.

It’s all well and good that the Raptors are sharing the ball more than they ever have, that the offence is more multi-dimensional, and that more players get more shots and are more involved than they have been in the past.

And then DeMar DeRozan gets crazy hot, the rest of the team is struggling and they are quite happy to ride a gifted scorer as far as they can.

DeRozan poured in a career-high 45 points — including a personal-best six three-pointers — as the Raptors overcame a brutal start to wipe out a 22-point third-quarter deficit and subdue the Philadelphia 76ers 114-109 at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday night.
